Throughout my career, I have developed a strong foundation in firm operations, team leadership, client relations, and strategic problem-solving. I am deeply committed to ensuring that both the firm and its clients receive the highest level of organization, efficiency, and care.

My work matters to me because I am genuinely passionate about helping others. The legal field particularly bankruptcy law offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives during some of their most challenging moments. Andrea Taylor
Paralegal
I am a Florida Registered Paralegal with 28 years of experience specializing in all aspects of Bankruptcy Law in the representation of Debtors, Creditors, Trustees, and Creditor’s Committees.
Why Her Work Matters
Although I have expertise in many types of law, I love bankruptcy work the most. I love helping people navigate through their most difficult times to obtain a fresh start, businesses restructuring to move forward in a positive light unburdened by smothering debt, and creditors trying to recoup some of their losses.
Personal
I am an avid quilter. I love to hike in the mountains and I love to travel to new places and favorite ones I’ve visited many times.

Maylahnne Tercero
Legal Assistant
I am a Legal Assistant in the firm’s non-consumer department, where I support clients through complex financial and business-related matters, including Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors, business dissolutions, and bankruptcy proceedings such as Subchapter V, Chapters 11, 13, and occasionally Chapter 7. From the beginning of each case, I work closely with clients to explain the pre-filing process, guide them through gathering necessary documents, and reviewing and analyzing their financial information. Then, I work on preparing schedules, drafting dissolution documents, and when complex or unusual matters arise, I partner with the attorneys to work through challenges and develop thoughtful, strategic solutions while remaining a consistent point of contact to answer questions and provide support throughout what can be a difficult time for our clients.
Why Her Work Matters
What makes my work meaningful to me is the opportunity to help clients navigate challenging transitions with clarity and confidence. I take pride in being both a reliable resource and a steady, supportive presence during moments when clients need it most. I am currently pursuing a career in law and have balanced full-time work and full-time studies at this firm for the past three years. Humanitarian and political change has always been an interest of mine, and I see the legal field as a path to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives and a stepping stone to contributing to broader impact in the future. I approach everything I do with intention and pride, as I believe my work and personal life are both a reflection of my character and commitment to excellence.
Personal
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, especially my bunny, Midnight. I often take him on stroller walks to parks, farmers markets, and lakes where he can run around in open grass fields. I also have a strong passion for cooking, staying active, and the occasional retail therapy. Most importantly, I carry my family with me in everything I do, and my mother’s unconditional love and support have been among the greatest forces behind my growth and ambition.

I take pride in guiding prospective clients through the intake process, so they feel confident, supported, and hopeful about moving forward. Building trust from that very first interaction is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
Personal
On a personal level, I love living in South Florida—it truly feels like paradise. It’s more than just a place to live; it’s a lifestyle that blends natural beauty with rich cultural diversity. One of the things I appreciate most is that I don’t need to travel far—each city has its own unique character, and the diversity is reflected not only in the people but also in the incredible variety of foods. Outside of work, I enjoy unwinding as a self-proclaimed “couch potato”—give me a good TV show and some snacks, and I’m in heaven.
